Dama wallaby
A smaller wallaby established around the Bay of Plenty and spreading beyond its historic range. Like Bennett's wallaby it damages pasture and native regeneration and is under active national control.

Scrub, forest margin and gully country in the central North Island. Nocturnal and secretive, so most encounters are at night or at the edges of the day.
